Quality-Driven Market Research

A stock market research dashboard built to reduce noise and focus active traders' review time.

Tide Trader began as a personal decision-support dashboard built from an Automotive Quality Engineer's operating mindset: when decisions are complex, reduce noise, highlight where attention is needed, and improve the system through measured results.

The platform acts as a structured market scanner and trading report platform: it scans market data for potential setups and organizes those candidates into report-based research, ranked setup review, audit visibility, and backtesting feedback so active traders can make their own final decisions with a cleaner review process.

12 Research Lanes Equities, options, crypto, hard assets, long-term quality, and dividend review.
Shared Context Layers Market Tone, Beach Forecast, Storm Watch / Warning, and Scorecard review.
Utility Tool Support Scout, Lighthouse Search, Crest Exit Tool, The Sandbox, and the AI-powered Chart Check Tool.
One Decision Framework Structured report information for trader review, not trade instructions.

Beach Forecast is public. During public beta, a member account currently opens the next layer: Market Tone, Storm Watch / Storm Warning risk context, live reports, current report names, the free Scout member tool, The Sandbox sector drilldown tool, the AI-powered supplemental Chart Check Tool, BackTesting Scorecard review, educational pages, and the Tide Trader Community while access remains open.

About Tide Trader

What the platform does

Quality Engineering Roots

The platform started as what happens when an Automotive Quality Engineer meets the stock market: build a repeatable decision-support flow, reduce noise, highlight what needs attention, scan for potential setups, and review the system through measured results.

Built As A Report Family

Tide Trader is not just one report. It is built as a connected family of report branches, each with a specific role, market focus, and timing profile inside one member ecosystem.

Equity And Specialty Coverage

The platform now spans overnight equities, intraday equities, leadership-only review, a growing Surf options family, crypto flow, and hard-asset coverage across metals, uranium, and lithium instead of forcing every market into one model.

Built Around Clarity

Each report is designed to reduce noise and make trade structure easier to review by putting timely, data-driven market context into a more digestible format with entries, exits, model-generated execution-readiness confidence, phase/risk context, and broader setup tables in one place.

Built From A Quality Mindset

Tide Trader began as a personal decision-support dashboard built from an Automotive Quality Engineer's operating mindset: when decisions are complex, reduce noise, highlight where attention is needed, and improve the system through measured results.

Built Around Stand-Down Discipline

Storm Watch / Storm Warning reinforces a core Tide Trader principle: no trade is better than a bad trade. It helps members recognize when sector deterioration, profit-taking risk, trend-change risk, or broad hostile setup conditions may call for more caution instead of forced long trades.

Built Around Transparency

Beta members can review BackTesting Scorecard results and report status labels directly inside the platform. Scorecard metrics measure the system's historical forecast accuracy for report setups and target-path conversion, not user performance results.

Backtesting reviews how often historical setups moved in the expected direction and how often they reached Conservative, Moderate, and Stretch exit levels. Conservative is the first target, Moderate is the middle target, and Stretch is the more ambitious target.

These are target-path and target-conversion metrics, not account returns, user results, or promises of future trading outcomes. Win-rate percentages are ratios: 75% means about 3 out of 4 setups, 80% means 4 out of 5, 66.7% means about 2 out of 3, 50% means 1 out of 2, 33.3% means about 1 out of 3, and 25% means 1 out of 4.

That keeps branch quality, stronger watches, weaker watches, and still-improving areas visible while the system continues to improve in the open.

Intraday Trades

Wave

Built around multiple waves during the day, with Wave Market Update refreshing every 10 minutes during market hours as the fastest intraday equity report lane.

Leadership Focus

Horizon

Horizon is the big-board leadership branch, designed to narrow attention toward cleaner Nasdaq 100, S&P 500, and Dow leadership instead of the full equity universe.

Calmer Entry Tier

Raft

Built for members who want a simpler, lower-touch stock workflow built primarily around selective multi-day long holds and less screen-time pressure.

Options Family

Surf

Built as an options family with the Surf directional core plus Board, Leash, and Freestyle companions for covered calls, secured puts, and premium-movement trading.

Crypto Branch

Trident

Built around snapshot-based crypto market context and setup review. During beta, Trident keeps a 2:00 AM CT Asia Transition anchor, then refreshes every 30 minutes from 6:30 AM CT through 10:00 PM CT on a daily Sunday-through-Saturday cadence.

Hard-Asset Branch

Forge

Built around snapshot-based hard-asset market context and setup review. During beta repair monitoring, Forge refreshes hourly from 7:30 AM CT through 2:30 PM CT, with a Closing Metals checkpoint at 3:00 PM CT, Monday-Friday excluding US market holidays.

Beach Forecast

The Sandbox

The Sandbox is Tide Trader's premium sector drilldown tool. It lets members open a Beach Forecast sector and review current setup-table names from the existing Tide Trader report family, organized by sector.

How It Works

How Tide Trader helps members move from scan to decision

Step 1

Start With Market Conditions

Members begin with Market Tone and Beach Forecast to get a plain-English read on market posture, sector strength, and where cleaner setups may be developing first.

Step 2

Choose The Right Report Lane

Instead of using one oversized watchlist, members can review the report branch that best matches their style, such as overnight setups, intraday flow, leadership names, options, crypto, or longer-term lanes.

Step 3

Review Ranked Setups And Risk

Each report is built to surface ranked ideas with clearer context around entries, exits, execution-readiness confidence, event risk, and broader setup structure so the review process feels more organized.

Step 4

Use Shared Tools Before Acting

Lighthouse Search, Crest Exit Tool, Scout, BackTesting Scorecard, glossary pages, and educational guides give members a second layer of context before they decide whether a setup deserves attention.

What Members Get

The report-driven experience

The Tide Trader ecosystem is built to give members both speed and depth. The top of each report highlights the strongest current setups, while the broader tables provide a fuller ranked view of the names that survived the narrowing process.

The live reports are paired with archived snapshots, run schedules, glossary pages, philosophy notes, orientation content, Market Tone context, earnings awareness, BackTesting Scorecard review, and shared utilities so the system feels consistent across desktop, tablet, and mobile review.

Shared Layer

Support tools across the full platform

Market Tone

Market Tone gives members a plain-English environment read so they can think about posture, selectivity, and how cautious or aggressive the current tape deserves.

Beach Forecast

Beach Forecast gives members a quick sector-conditions read before they open the branch reports, with five weekday updates at 8:15 AM, 9:30 AM, 11:30 AM, 1:00 PM, and 2:00 PM CT.

The Sandbox

The Sandbox is Tide Trader's premium sector drilldown tool. It lets members open a Beach Forecast sector and review current setup-table names from the existing Tide Trader report family, organized by sector. Beach Forecast gives the broad sector read; The Sandbox provides the deeper sector-specific setup view.

Earnings Awareness

Event labels help members see when a setup is sitting too close to quarterly earnings or recent event risk, so normal structure is not treated like a normal quiet setup.

BackTesting Scorecard

The scorecard gives members a rolling read on the system's historical forecast accuracy for report setups. Report cards also show current status labels such as Beta, Launch Track, Repair, and future Released status.

Scout

Scout is a free member tool that gives a fast cross-platform scan of made-the-cut names so members can review what is surfacing across the platform without opening every branch first.

Swell

Swell adds high-risk extended-trend context by surfacing names that may be stretched after multiple sessions of one-direction movement. Depending on risk tolerance, members may use it as an avoid list or as a watchlist for closer chart review.

Lighthouse Search

Lighthouse Search helps members look up a ticker across the latest Tide Trader report family to see where it currently appears and what report context is available.

Informational Pages

Informational pages, including How It Works, Trading Basics, Market Tone Guide, and Trading Terms, help members learn the system language before they trade from it.

Platform Structure

Where the platform is heading

Member Access

The long-term plan is a clean public-facing site paired with a member portal that gives subscribers controlled access to live reports, archives, training content, shared tools, and future system layers.

Multi-Report Product Family

The platform is being built as a family of report products. Tide, Wave, Horizon, Surf, Trident, and Forge each serve a different role so one model does not have to stretch across every market, and Surf is now also being organized internally by options user intent instead of one oversized catch-all report.

Scheduled Report Freshness

The two most time-sensitive equity lanes use scheduled market-hours report refreshes. Wave Market Update refreshes every 10 minutes from 8:00 AM CT through 2:50 PM CT, and Tide Market Check refreshes every 15 minutes from 8:00 AM CT through 2:45 PM CT on US market trading days, excluding US market holidays.

Launch Progression

Private beta feedback is shaping the product now. BackTesting Scorecard updates are currently running daily during beta, with a weekly scorecard planned to remain after launch so members can keep seeing the system's historical forecast behavior.

Free Account

Open the next layer of the workflow during public beta

The public site shows how Tide Trader works. During public beta, a member account currently opens the next layer of the live workflow, including reports, dashboard context, the free Scout member tool, and the AI-powered supplemental Chart Check Tool, so visitors can move from public context into the actual review process while access remains open.

Start with context

Add Market Tone and the dashboard follow-through behind Storm Watch / Storm Warning so the sector heat map is not the only context layer you can review.

See current report names

Follow Beach Forecast into The Sandbox for current setup-table names organized by sector instead of stopping at the public overview page.

Review the live report flow

Open the live reports, ranked setups, BackTesting Scorecard review, educational pages, and the AI-powered supplemental Chart Check Tool in one member dashboard.

Use AI-powered chart review

The Chart Check Tool is an AI-powered supplemental member tool for reviewing individual chart screenshots through the Tide Trader Custom GPT on ChatGPT when a ticker is not currently appearing in the reports. The reports remain the primary workflow, and ChatGPT/OpenAI control upload limits, image limits, and usage restrictions.

Follow the beta more closely

Join The Tide Trader Community and keep closer track of how the platform is evolving while public-beta access remains open.

A free account never requires a credit card. There is no payment or commitment required to create one, and creating an account does not mean we are going to flood your inbox. Tide Trader emails are more like rain in the Sahara: rare, intentional, and only when there is something you truly need to know.
